Ode To Kadishman
Eitan Agor’s sculptures, like Menashe Kadishman’s Uprise, explore balance, space, and tension, yet they emerge from vastly different origins. Uprise is a study in industrial precision—two steel plates suspended in a state of engineered defiance, embodying weight, gravity, and urban modernity. In contrast, Agor’s work, shaped by his time in the desert and the isolation of a kibbutz, leans into organic balance, where materials feel unearthed rather than constructed. While Kadishman’s sculpture commands its environment with stark geometric presence, Agor’s forms seem to grow from their surroundings, evoking the fragile yet enduring relationship between nature and human experience.
