In my box

Eitan Agor’s In My Box is a reflection of a lived experience—balancing isolation, industrial labor, and immersion in nature while residing in a box-like structure in the Arava Desert. The sculpture encapsulates this paradox, merging rigid geometry with a sense of movement and tension. The outer frame defines a confined space, while the internal elements—a solid block and a seemingly suspended cylinder—disrupt and challenge that containment. The contrast between industrial material and the vast, organic desert landscape underscores the interplay between structure and solitude, control and adaptation.
